Mix the wheat germ, sugar and spice blend together in a small bowl and sprinkle over the peaches. Cover with foil or lid. Bake, 10 to 15 minutes or until peaches are hot. Serve warm or at room temperature. Variation: This simple dessert works with just about any ripe fruit or combination of fruits: pears, apples, pineapple or mangoes. Yield: 4 servings, calories: 116, fat: 1g, fiber: 4g. Mixture can also be cooked, stirring occasionally, in a saucepan over medium heat until hot. Serve warm or at room temperature. Variations: Add raisins, currants, chopped dried apricots or other fruits, or tiny pieces of candied ginger, if desired. Substitute your favorite flavored liqueur for the rum. Garnish with fresh fruits or sprinkle with a little Dessert Spice Blend. Leftovers are good for breakfast! Yield: 6 to 8 servings, calories: 158, fat: 1g, fiber: 3g.
