Guest guest Posted July 10, 1999 Report Share Posted July 10, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Chile Con Queso Recipe By :1,001 Low Fat Vegetarian Recipes Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : 1,001 Low Fat Veg Recipes Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Vegetable cooking spray 5 medium anaheim or 2 poblano chiles -- seeded & deveined -- cut into halves 1 small onion -- chopped 1 small tomato -- chopped 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 2 cups shredded reduced-fat pasteurized -- (8 ounces) -- processed cheese product 1 cup shredded fat-free Cheddar cheese -- (4 ounces) 2 tablespoons skim milk -- up to 4 Baked Tortilla Chips 1. Line jelly roll pan with aluminum foil; spray with cooking spray Place chilies, skin sides up, on pan. Bake at 425 degrees until chilies are browned and soft, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool slightly; cut into strips. 2. Spray small saucepan with cooking spray; heat over medium heat until hot. Saute onion, tomato, and oregano until onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Add cheeses and chilies; cook over low heat until melted, stifling in milk for desired consistency. 3. Serve warm in sewing bowl with Baked Tortilla Chips for dipping. MC_Busted by Karen C.
