Guest guest
Hi, everyone, Many thanks for all the great tomato recipes! This will keep me busy in my spare time...somewhere around 2 or 3 in the morning....grin...!!! I've cut-and-pasted and am looking forward to trying some of these out.... Last weekend I went to the Tree of Life Midwest trade show. I just want to mention a few items you may not be aware of, depending on your particular HFS and how often you shop... Soy milk drinks: Westsoy has Cafe Westbrae in 3 flavors; soy milk flavored with coffee, mocha, and French vanilla. *Wonderful!!!*** Also Westsoy Juice Bar, soy milk with orange, berry or apple juices. Also excellent! Top flavors (in order) from my staff: Berry, Orange, Apple. Believe me, for those that don't like soymilk, this stuff does NOT taste like soy! Honest Tea: (Iced) tea drinks, lightly sweetened, only 5 calories or so. In about 6 flavors. Very good; only one or two has honey. Thai Kitchen: Wide variety of rice or jasmine noodles with seasonings. Makes a quick light soup, or add veggies and tofu for a hearty dinner. About 6 varieties in 2-serving sizes. My favorite is the (new) lemongrass chili in the single serving size. Just right for one for dinner. I add whatever veggies I have and cubed tofu. I also add some hot sesame (chili) oil (I like it hot!) and a splash of lemon or lime juice. Thai Kitchen also has several Thai rice pilafs; I got the samples but haven't had time to try them yet. Oh...do read labels...One or two of the noodles have anchovy paste. Soy King Soy Chips.....yummy!!! Balanced Drinks for Kids....non-dairy chocolate or vanilla drinks, loaded with vitamins for the fussy eaters. Good stuff...we kept going back for samples! Amy's (of the freezer) has come out with a quality line of canned soups, but most of them have milk.... OK, that's all I can think of for now....back to the regular recipes!
