EASY, EASY BURGERS, using Marinated Tofu or Tempeh

Tofu Burgers

 

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 recipe Marinated Tofu or Marinated Tempeh

1 tablespoon olive oil, cold-pressed

5 whole wheat hamburger buns

5 slices tomato, large, ripe

lettuce

pickles, sliced

Nayonaise or homemade " mayo " spread

catsup

mustard

 

We always try to have tempeh or tofu marinating in the refrigerator so

we can put together burgers in a hurry.

 

1. Blot the slices of tofu or tempeh gently with a clean paper towel.

Oil the bottom of a skillet, heat, and add the tempeh or tofu in a

single layer. Cook over medium heat until the undersides are browned.

Loosen the tofu or tempeh often with a spatula while it cooks since it

will have the tendency to stick. turn the slices over and brown the

second side.

 

2. Serve on hamburger buns with tomato slices, lettuce, sliced pickles,

Nayonaise, catsup, mustard, or your favorite condiments.
