Guest guest Posted August 26, 1999 Report Share Posted August 26, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * TOFU FRIED RICE Recipe By : Tofu Cookery Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Oriental Rice Dishes Stir-Fry Tofu Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 cups cooked brown rice, cooled 2 tablespoons oil 2 cloves garlic -- crushed 3/4 pound tofu -- diced 1 tablespoon soy sauce 2 tablespoons oil 2 cloves garlic -- minced 1 1/2 cups onion -- diced 1 cup celery -- diced 1/2 tablespoon oil 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups fresh bean sprouts 1 tablespoon soy sauce Heat crushed garlic in 2 tablespoons oil in heavy skillet or wok. Cook until garlic is light brown, then remove and discard the garlic. Add and stir-fry the tofu for 1 minute. Add 1 tablespoon soy sauce and stir in well. Remove tofu from pan and add 2 tablespoons oil and minced garlic. Let fry for 1 minute. Then add the onion and celery. Stir-fry for 2 - 3 minutes. Then add the cooked rice, 1/2 tablespoon oil, and the salt. Stir-fry until everything has some oil on it. Then add the diced and fried tofu, and the bean sprouts. Stir-fry 2 minutes.
