Guest guest
Here are two different recipes for Oat Burgers. We like the Nutty Oat Burgers best. We serve these like any other burgers, on bread or rolls with whatever we like on top. Mix remaining ingredients in a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients to cooked oats and mix well. When cool enough to handle, form into patties. Suggestion: Freeze extra burgers, cooked or uncooked, for future use. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : Serve on buns or pita bread with sliced tomato, lettuce, onions, and tofu mayo. >From me: I cooked them only 10 minutes on each side. I ground up the walnuts or sunflower seeds in my food processor, so it was like a " meal " texture. I just serve them with lettuce & tomato and nothing else. I make these without the oil sometimes. To form the burgers, I used my hands to make a ball of dough, and then used a flat plastic bowl cover to flatten the balls. Otherwise, it didn't stick together well without the oil.
