Guest guest
I love New Mexican Green chile dishes, stew, etc. Even though I live in the panhandle of Texas, a couple of the stores are chains in NM. I was able to buy a 35-lb bag of chiles ($10.99, good?). So I have been roasting them on the BBQ grill. I have most of my large bowls, plate covered, filled with them in the refrig , waiting to be peeled, etc. Now the question: can I fresh them whole or do I have to make a sauce to freeze? It's alot of work, but I'm having fun... Carol
Guest guest
Carol: What a great idea! You don't have to freeze all of them -- just send them to me! LOL! Yes -- you can freeze whole chiles (or you can cut them up if you want to). You can find more info at this website: http://firegirl.com/preserving/freezing1.html I need to post my recipe for vegetarian Green Chile Stew for you. Good luck & have fun!
