Guest guest Posted September 22, 1999 Report Share Posted September 22, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Anissabo (Pea Soup -- Cree Style) Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Soups Native Cree Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups dried peas -- soaked 20 ounces hominy 1 cup celery leaves -=or=- 2 pinches thyme salt pepper savoury 16 cups water When the soaking peas are soft, put them in a large pot with the rest of the ingredients. Simmer until the peas are tender but stil firm. Add the hominy & cook till thickened. Serve hot. Converted by MC_Buster.
