Soybeans in Sweet Sauce

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/2 cup bean atock

1 tablespoon cornstarch

3 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cups soybeans -- cooked

 

Combine bean stock, cornstarch,honey, molasses, and soy sauce in a medium

saucepan, and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer 5

minutes.

Add the soybeans to the sauce, and heat thoroughly. Let cool slightly and serve

over rice or millet.

NOTES : I've used canned soybeans and they work fine. This recipe is quick and
