Easy Pear Bars

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 1/2 cups flour

1 cup sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

3 eggs -- beaten

1 1/2 cups pear sauce (recipe will follow)

3/4 cup vegetable oil

confectioner's sugar

 

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and cloves; mix well. Stir

in eggs, pear sauce, and oil until well mixed.

Spread batter in a lightly oiled 13 x 9 x 2 " pan. Bake at 350F for 25 to 30

minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on wire

rack.

When completely cooled, sprinkle lightly with confectioner's sugar. Cut into 1

1/2 inch squares.
