Guest guest
I used to be able to order these from Bloomindales at Christmas time, only they were coated w/ peanut butter, then chocolate, they were called " angel wings " and definitely were angelic. Last year they didn't have them. * Exported from MasterCook * Chocolate-Dipped Potato Chips Recipe By :Andrew Schloss with Ken Bookman Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate -- broken in pieces 3 dozen thick sliced potato chips, preferably ridged Melt 6 ounces of the chocolate in a covered microwave-safe bowl in a microwave oven at full power for 2 1/2 minutes, turning once halfway through. Stir until smooth. Add the remaining 2 ounces of chocolate and stir until all the chocolate has melted. Place the potato chips, one at a time, in the dipping chocolate. Turn to coat evenly with chocolate. Lift out with a fork. Use your thumb to help grip the chip against the fork. Shake the fork vigorously over the dipping pan to remove any excess chocolate. Transfer to a sheet pan lined with wax paper or foil. Allow to set completely, about 1 hour, before removing from the lining.
