Herb And Tomato Bruschetta

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 1/2 pounds plum tomatoes -- chopped

1/3 cup chopped fresh basil leaves

1 tablespoon chopped garlic

1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano leaves

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

6 crusty bread slices (thick) -- toasted

 

Mix tomatoes, herbs and liquids in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. (Can be

prepared 2 hours ahead. Hold at room temperature.) Spoon tomato mix onto toast

and serve.
