Guest guest Posted October 26, 1999 Report Share Posted October 26, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Quick Pasta Sauce Recipe By :Vikki Leng Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 teaspoons oil 1 onion -- finely diced 4 cloves garlic -- crushed 1 pound tomatoes -- peeled and chopped 1/2 cup tomato juice 2 tablespoons tomato paste freshly ground black pepper Heat the oil in a medium sized saucepan and cook the onion over medium heat, with the lid on the pan, for 2-3 minutes. Add the garlic, tomatoes, tomato juice and tomato paste and bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, cover and cook the sauce over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with the pepper.
