Guest guest Posted October 28, 1999 Report Share Posted October 28, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Maple Biscuit Dessert Recipe By : Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup shortening 3/4 cup milk 1 1/2 cups maple syrup In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk; stir just until moistened. Turn onto a llightly floured surface; roll to 1/2 " thickness. Cut with a 2 " biscuit cutter. Pour syrup into an 11 x 7 x 2 " baking dish. Place biscuits on top of syrup. Bake at 450F for 12 to 15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
