Guest guest Posted October 29, 1999 Report Share Posted October 29, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Rigatoni Combination Recipe By :Debra Wasserman and Charles Stahler Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/3 pound rigatoni, macaroni, or other pasta 1 onion -- chopped 1 clove garlic -- minced olive or vegetable oil 1 small can tomato sauce 1 1 lb can kidney beans -- drained 1 teaspoon soy sauce or tamari 1/2 teaspoon chili powder salt and pepper to taste 1/2 green pepper -- chopped Cook pasta according to pkg directions. Saute onions, garlic, and green pepper 4-5 minutes or until soft. Stir in tomato sauce, kidney beans, soy sauce, chili powder, and a shake of black pepper. Simmer several minutes to heat through. Drain pasta when done and stir into sauce. Serve as is or add 1/2 cup cottage cheese to each serving to make a lasagna-like dish. Add hot sauce if desired.
