Guest guest
Hey, do any of the hardcore MC folks here care to offer a guess about why my posts got all HTMLed in the export process? I sent them using MC5's export feature, set to 4.0 and 5.0. I hate that it did this, and would really appreciate tips on not doing it anymore! Thanks! Guest guest
Hi, Rudy! You have several choices of formats to export/e-mail recipes from MC5. People have their own opinions about each -- here's brief explanations of each format: 1. MC4 Format Only -- This will look similar to how most of the recipes are posted. However, with this format, some items, measures, ingredients, prep, etc. may be " cut off " since MC5 has longer fields for these than previous versions. 2. MC5 Format Only -- This will contain a bunch of " gibberish " that the program can read, but perhaps you can't. It will not be importable with anything other than MC5, so MC4 and earlier will not be able to import recipes in this format. 3. " Text Only " -- This format will include all the info/lines from MC5, but will look similar to MC4 format. 4. MC4 & MC5 Format -- This format will include some of the " gibberish " , but many people prefer this format because you can import *all* of the info from MC5 to get the most from it, and it is also importable by MC4. For more info, you might want to check out Pam Erickson's MC5 Tips: http://home.att.net/~pamnbri/MC5Tips.htm#Exchange Hope this is helpful!
