Cheese and Pesto Toasts

1/2 cup prepared pesto sauce

15 slices Italian or French bread -- lightly toasted

5 medium plum tomatoes - enough for 30 slices -- thinly sliced

1 10 oz package extra sharp natural cheddar cheese -- thinly sliced

 

Heat broiler.

Spread pesto sauce on toasted bread slices. Top each slice with 3 tomato slices

and 1 cheese slice. Place on cookie sheet.

Broil 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
