Guest guest Posted November 11, 1999 Report Share Posted November 11, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Chilironi Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Beans Vegetarian Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 1/2 cups water 1 1/2 cups macaroni elbows (I like the soy macaroni for this) 1 1/2 cups chopped onion 1 cup chopped celery 3/4 cup chopped sweet green pepper 2 tablespoons minced garlic 1 cup tomato sauce 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon oregano 1 teaspoon basil 3/4 teaspoon cumin 4 cups cooked pinto beans 4 cups cooked kidney beans Bring the water to a boil. Add macaroni, onions, celery, chopped pepper, garlic, tomato sauce, and seasonings. Return pot to a boil. Reduce heat and cook 10 minutes. Remove from heat, but do not drain. Stir in beans. Heat thoroughly. Serve hot with something crunchy. This produce may be frozen.
