Guest guest
There are some great restaurants in SF. The Herbivore and Millennium. I believe both places are vegan. I have been to the Herbivore and it was delicious! Millennium is more expensive (so what I have heard) But if your are willing to spend they are some great places. Have fun! Guest guest
Hi Hannah, I've never been to San Francisco myself, but here are a few of the natural food store recommendations from The Tofu Tollbooth by Dar Williams and Elizabeth Zipern: Good Life Grocery (2 locations) 448 Cortland Ave. 1524 20th Street Real Food Co. (3 locations) 3939 24th Street 2140 Polk 1023 Stanyon Whole Foods Market - this is a huge chain, and my local store has some wonderful stuff 1765 California Street For restaurants, among others, they recommend 10,000 Buddha's, an Asian style veg restaurant. Guest guest
Millenium is a wonderful restaurant, everything on the menu is low-fat vegetarian, and they have some really unusual dishes. I just took my husband there last weekend for his birthday. Herbivore is also good, very reasonably priced and in a nice area if you like going to funky clubs and shops. Joubert's is a vegetarian South African restaurant, very good also. 4115 Judah St (near 46th) San Francisco Greens is another one, although I hear its a bit expensive. Its in Fort Mason Center in SF. Further south, try Paradise in Mountain View, its veg mediterranean food. i haven't been there, but I hear its good. There is also a Whole Foods in downtown Palo Alto, they have a huge selection of vegetarian products. What kinds of things do you like to do? I've lived in this area my whole life, so I can give you some recommendations on things to see/ places to go, etc. That's all I can think of for now. Email me if you want addresses and phone numbers of places, and I will try to come up with some more suggestions.
