Guest guest Posted December 4, 1999 Report Share Posted December 4, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Pound Cake Recipe By : The New Laurel's Kitchen Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cakes Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 1/4 cups whole wheat pastry flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup honey 1/2 cup butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 eggs 3/4 cup buttermilk Preheat oven to 350°F. Ingredients should be at room temperature. Sift flour before measuring, then sift with baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cream honey and butter. Add vanilla. Separate eggs. Whip egg whites until stiff. Beat yolks and add to honey and butter. Add sifted ingredients to this mixture, a third at a time, alternating with buttermilk.
