Guest guest Posted December 5, 1999 Report Share Posted December 5, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Pasta With Olive Oil And Garlic Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Pasta Vegetarian Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 long dry pasta (such as spaghetti or linguini -- (12 ounces) or fusilli or angel hair) 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 2 cloves garlic put through a garlic press 1/4 teaspoon salt -- or to taste Freshly ground black pepper -- to taste Shaved or grated Parmesan cheese -- (optional) Makes: 6 cups; serves: 4 to 6 1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain. 2. Heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic; cook, stirring, 30 seconds. Add drained pasta and toss. Add salt and pepper to taste. 3. Serve with Parmesan cheese, if desired. Variation: Pasta with Broccoli and Garlic: Add 2 cups cooked broccoli pieces to the garlic and oil. Sauté until broccoli is heated through.
