Guest guest Posted December 8, 1999 Report Share Posted December 8, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Miso Soup Recipe By :Jeanne Jones - Canyon Ranch Cooking Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 teaspoon dark sesame oil 1/3 cup finely chopped shallots 3 tablespoons red miso 1 quart vegetable stock 1/4 cup diced firm tofu for garnish 3 tablespoons sliced scallions for garnish Heat the sesme oil in a saucepan over medium heat, add the shallots, and cook until translucent. Add the miso paste and mix well. Add the vegetable stock and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and simmer 15 minutes.
