MAKES APPROXIMATELY 4 DOZEN

 

Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Cut a 16-inch-long loaf of French (baguette)

into 1/3-inch-thick slices. Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet.

Set another baking sheet over top of the bread and bake for 15 minuutes.

Turn the bread over, recover with the baking sheet, and bake about 15

minutes longer, or until golden. Let cool. The crostini can be stored in

an airtight container for up to 1 week.
