Another Spritz cookie...this recipe has been a California family's favorite

for over 40 years! This MUST be a keeper. :)

 

PS: Didn't say how many cookies this makes.

Spritz Cookies (Family recipe 40+ years)

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

-------- ------------ --------------------------------

1 pound butter -- or regular margarine

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

3/4 teaspoon almond extract

4 cups flour

1/2 cup cornstarch

 

Cream butter and sugar together. Stir in eggs, vanilla and almond extract.

Sift together flour and cornstarch and work into creamed mixture. Put dough

through a cookie press. Bake in 400-degree oven about 10 minutes or until

golden.

 

Carolyn Cox of Murrieta, California, has used this recipe, a family

favorite, for more than 40 years.
