Hi here is a nice dessert or even breakfast recipe. Try different fruit and

different flavours of nonfat yogurt in it.

SPUN SUGAR BERRIES WITHYOGURT CREME

 

Recipe By : Favorite Brand Name Diabetic Cooking No. 37, 8/99

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 cups fresh raspberries

1 8 ounce cont nonfat lemon yogurt -- with aspartame

1 cup Cool Whip® Fat Free

or nondairy fat free whipped topping

3 tablespoons sugar

 

Arrange berries in 4 glass dessert dishes. Combine yogurt and whipped topping

in medium bowl. Top berries with yogurt mixture. To prepare spun sugar, pour

sugar into heavy medium saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat until sugar melts,

shaking pan occasionally. Do not stir. As sugar begins to melt, reduce heat to

low and cook about 10 minutes or until sugar is completely melted and has turned

light golden brown. Remove from heat; let stand 1 minute. Coat metal fork with

sugar mixture. Drizzle sugar over berries with circular or back and forth

motion. Serve immediately.
