In a lightly oiled 2-qt. baking pam, combine potatoes, onion, 4 tbsp. butter, pepper, mushroom soup, soy sauce, pimientos, cheese, sour cream, and yogurt. Mix well. In a bowl, mix cornflakes with remaining 2 tbsp. butter. Spread evenly over potatoes. Bake 40-45 minutes, until top is nicely browned.
