CHONGQING http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/

Monday 22nd January, 2001

The biggest national wild animal zoo opened recently in Chongqing in Southwest

China.

About 100 species of wild animals have been transported from overseas to the

zoo.

Thousands of animals including

white rhinoceroses and kangaroos

have come from 14 countries,

such as Tanzania, South Africa and Australia.

The zoo was built at a cost of 360 million yuan (US$43 million) and covers an

area of 333 hectares. The zoo plans to have

a total of 430 species of animals and

will do research on animal protection and genetics.

Thank you for emails67

I started to send mails to schools,

cover letter and questionaire1-18,

I left Kristina's email number and

your email number to them,

If any responses,I suppose they are interested,

or they themselves are interested organize acitivities

through Teacher Union.

As I lived in Hong Kong,

It will be easier for me to do something in China,

how about TRAVEL SERVICES to China-places of

animal protection projects?

I have 2 mandarin teachers

or 2 friends[studying in tourism, and they keep pets]

who maybe helpful in your group

please confirm your meeting on Feb13,Tuesday

shall I invite any of them to come?

Do you need volunteers to review your Digests 1-67

to bank-up data of:

the project

How nice if they can be posted in autoreply

or website
