Guest guest
Does anyone know of any organisation to whom I can write to for funding for a Smithsonian MAB Conservation Training Opportunities lasting five weeks at The Smithsonian Conservation and Research Center, Front Royal, Virginia? Duration of course is May 13th through June 15th. The amount needed for the course is US$4500 and airfare from Malaysia is approximately RM3 500 plus another US200 for expenditures. I am working on wildlife conservation issues at a local NGO in Malaysia and it is not possible for the organisation to sponsor me because of its financial standing. Therefore I would be grateful if you, wonderful egroup members, could supply me with names of organisations to write to for sponsorship. The Biodiversity Asessment and Monitoring for Adaptive Management Course is appropriate for me those whose role would be enhanced with a knowledge in biodiversity monitoring. Course topics include: introduction to geographical information systems (GIS); introduction to ecological statistics; assessment and monitoring protocols for vegetation, aquatic systems, amphibians/reptiles, birds, mammals etc. The course will be an effective tool for pursuing future goals and making more informed decisions about conservation and use of natural resources. Looking forward to a reply. Thank you. Kind regards, yitzeling _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
