The tiger, sent by a Yunnan rare animal protection centre to mate in the zoo escaped from his unlocked den, caught the woman keeper He Qiongxian, 44, by the throat and dragged her around the cage for nearly 20 minutes. A local police officer hit the cage and successfully locked the tiger into the den again. A first-aid team rushed into the cage to treat He. The zoo has resumed operation, and the tiger is still caged waiting for the results of the investigation.
