This is what I found when I did a search on the word peixian. It is a

newspaper article on the county of Peixian, and the Dawn Fine Bred meat Dog

Now this is a legitimate paper so can we be sure that the dogisland is

a hoax?

After all people will go to great lengths to get what they want. This

site seems rather elaborate to be labled a hoax.

I would like to think that this a hoax. But I fear that it might well be a

novel idea for acquiring overseas dogs to improve the bloodlines of the

breeding dogs in the Peixian dog factories.

Please read http://www.aapn.org/peixian2.html and follow the link to the

pictures.

Can someone please check out the Florida end of the story?

John.

This is a hoax from what I have been told. I ran this

by two other lists that I am on that are anti-dog

meat/fur trade and they verified that it is a hoax.

You can read about it from this url:

I wish I could believe this is a hoax.

Obviously the company that owns the website (Dawn Fine - Shuguang) does not

have a " Dog Island " . But what they do have is a dog meat factory in

Peixian - photos of which can be seen at:

http://www.aapn.org/peixian.html

Their policy is to introduce new bloodlines to their stock in order to

obtain faster growth, more meat, more docility, etc.

Western breeders have been reluctant to sell their dogs to China and this

website appears to me to be a clever way of acquiring new stock.

What can be done?

John.

I was sent this website address which is designed to look like New York City

but is in fact false.

http://www.council-nyc-ny.us/legislation/Int_0342-2003A.html

It is obviously designed to make Dog Island look legitimate. I didn't manage

to make a whois search on it.

This is the result of the " whois " search for Dog Island:

On the other list that I am a member of, Korean Dogs,

it has been suggested that we contact the NYC council

regarding the similarity of the hoax page of

http://www.council-nyc-ny.us/

to the legitimage web site for New York City

Council at:

http://www.council.nyc.ny.us/

Not only are the urls 95% similar, but the contents

and are strikingly similar with only the the In the

news section.

Some of us members are going to write to:

NYC Council at:

feedback

telling them about these similarities. We are hoping

to do the same with some of the other areas of the

site that are made to resemeble legitimate sources. If

you do write and receive a response, please share it

with me! I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi -- Dog Island is only an imagination. This is a

I'm sorry if that has caused you frustration. We are

Sorry for taking any of your serious time on this.

All the evidence is that the Dog Island website is a pure hoax - and not a

scam to acquire livestock.

Apart from other indications, the hoaxers have apparently no information on

the Peixian dog farmers except what appears on the AAPN website.

The AAPN website was updated a couple of months ago to indicate this

opinion. Unfortunately in the recent revamp of the site, an old page was

substituted for the corrected page. I apologise for this.

John.
