Hi,

 

I am allergic to all grains. Some get violent with me and some don't really

disagree with me really bad. Soy takes my breath away truely bad,and barly and

rye do too. Too much rice will also.

 

Oatmeal if used in regular servings don't bother me too much so I make my mock

burgers with it. BUT I use it sparingly.

 

What is gluten????

Gluten is the name for the protein common to several different grains (wheat,

barley, rye, spelt, kamut). However, soy is not a gluten grain and neither

is rice. It sounds to me as if you are having a problem handling all

polysaccharides (complex sugars). I wonder if you have looked into gut

issues with your naturopathic doctor. Sometimes leaky gut syndrome can cause

our digestive tract to react to all sorts of things which triggers our immune

system.
