Guest guest
Five a day? Here it is promoted as seven a day - five serves of veggies and two of fruit. They class a serve as about 1 cup of chopped up whatever, so it really is quite a lot. Unless you eat mountains of stir frys each day that is. Making a smoothy will help you get your intake, but avoid juices, and use whole fruit instead. Otherwise you are missing out on half the important stuff, the roughage and fibre especially! Also, be aware of the lack-of nutrition in orange juice concentrates, they also tend to be very high in sugar. Just a few thoughts, 'Chelle, et al, minus five __ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here

Guest guest
Hey guys, I am after some info I thought you might be able to help me with. I am looking at getting a new camera, but someone has told me that there is gelitine or something in the rolls of film or the proccessing of it when it comes to 35mm cameras. So I should thereby go for digital? Can someone please tell me about the geletine thing, and exactly where it is? Or does anyone know of a link? I have to explain it all to my Nan, who doesn't believe me. THanks heaps, 'Chelle, et al, minus five __ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here

AS reported in The Star (Dec 20), Shangri-la Hotel's Shang Palace has an Imperial Menu that offers items like " steamed live giant Lybird " and " steamed live garoupa " . Does this mean that the chef steams the bird and the fish while they are still alive? Or is it a case of misused English, and what the hotel means is that the bird is slaughtered just before it is cooked and the fish taken out of the tank and allowed to expire before it is steamed? I hope, for the sake of those who are averse to cruelty to living beings, that Shangri-la Hotel will clarify. - Animal lover, Petaling Jaya <p> ________________________ Your one-stop information portal: The Star Online http://thestar.com.my http://biz.thestar.com.my http://classifieds.thestar.com.my http://cards.thestar.com.my http://search.thestar.com.my http://star-motoring.com http://star-space.com http://star-jobs.com http://star-ecentral.com http://star-techcentral.com Copyright © 1995-2003 Star Publications (Malaysia) Bhd. Guest guest
I did Phase One for three months. It was very very tough. But I did it. I had to stop because I went to New York for eight days for work and had to eat out, and while I tried to eat in raw restaurants when I could, and did almost every day, I wasn't able to keep up Phase One. I think it is well worth the effort. I highly recommend the Confetti Crackers. Num! Guest guest
Here's a link to the vrg.org website that conducts periodic polls. They estimated (in their 2003 poll) that approximately 2.8% of the population are vegetarian, with 1/3 to 1/2 of vegetarians being vegan. Seems a little high to me but hopefully not.
