Guest guest Posted September 19, 2004 Report Share Posted September 19, 2004 This is really inhumane and barbaric.In India Bears have been barred from performances/exhibition and training by Circuses,Street shows etc.The tribe dealing with bears is called kalanders,a scheme for rehbilitating the bears liberated from them as well as to provide alternative livilihood to the owners have been planned by Ms.Maneka Gandhi,Former Union Minister of India and internationally reknowned animal rights personality . A bear sanctury has been set up at Agra. Dr.Sandeep K.Jain President,People For Animals Ludhiana.
