Guest guest
Dear Friends, In Ranchi - there is no support from Municipal Corporation for the ABC program - as it was came out in the Conference - Here Municipal Corporation or State bodies are not at all interested or active - HOPE as well as People for Animal Ranchi chapter have been trying to motivate the govt. for supporting such programs - People for Animal Ranchi chapter has got a little support - i.e. - The amount Municipal Corporation is getting from the registered dogs in the city - the same amount is given to the PFA for sterilizing the street dogs - which is very negligible to operate on an average 20 to 25 dogs per month. There are not many organisations working in this field for caring street dogs except PFA & HOPE & animal. On our own at our individual capacity and with our fund raising activities we have been conducting sterilization programs. To add another success to our efforts - I am glad to share with you that our cow & dog shelter construction work is half done and coming one-month's time we will have shelter - office room & clinic ready. In this process our US supporting animal hospital is ready to donate required stuff for our office. A Lap top, Fax Machine, Video Camera & a Printer. We have a kind request - if you or any of your contacts help us ship these equipments from United States to India. We would be highly obliged to you for your support. With many kind regards, Praveen Ohal www.angelfire.com/pop2/hopeandanimal

Guest guest
Dear Parveen, I dont under stand why u are concerntrating on Infrastructure? Please furnish what kind of animal welfare activites you did since past 4 yrs. Do you set your Vision & Mission? R u working in that way? If so then let everybody know. See we started PAWS with inspiration from Maneka Gandhi. I use to see her show Heads & Tails on national TV. When started working for animals i was just 18 yrs. old, but I learn many things. Then in 2001 we registerd PAWS - a young brigade for rescue. See we survived a Half decade. ##Without infrastructure is it possible to grow?? Yes, Praveen what PAWS have is 2 Ambulance (one for Thane dist. & Another for Mumbai dist.), one 2 room small Pigeon shelter. Thats All! One Second hand computer, 1 Cupboard & 1 Table, 1 Chair is our office furniture. The PAWS office located in my Flat's Balcony. We operate from there. Some Pet Carriers, Graspers & Medicnes are in our office. What is Real Infrastrucure we have is - Our Selfless Dedicated volunteers, our Perfect Publicity of work & our relationships with all NGO's in Mumbai & Thane. We teach our team Dedication, Hardwork & Compassion. When we started PAWS just with Rs.1000/- now our yealy expenditure is between 3 Lakhs to 4 Lakhs. Our 90% money goes directly to field work We do not have Admnisitrative Staff (Entire administation is handled by me & Anuradha on Hony. basis) All my team members are Engineering, Art students, remaining all including me are doing jobs in professional companies. But still we do atleast 3 vaccination camps a Month, almost every evening we treat numberless Maggot-wounded stray animals after our jobs. Our Driver & vet is on rounds in daytime. there are certain people who tried to put trouble on our endless work & still keep on doing (by forwarding past E-mails to others) But I feel the people who work - only they receive such oppose. You have to ignore that. (I have seen Rita Vazirani's Photo in one newspaper holding dog who never done any animal welfare work except attending meeting & having dinners in hotels, Now she is vanished - this is what happens) At start, you will feel hard but I suggest - publisize you good work, tell people about you failures, collect voluteers, do camps, Campaigns, Help other NGOs & receive help from others, make a relation for Animals! Money will come automatically if put in good cause. Now I am associated with 4 more Animal charities that only because of my strong contacts, you must have seen my newsletter - we received rice, biscuts, pedigree as donation but not single thing we kept for us we gave to our sister concerns & other charities in return they treat our Granuloma, Accident, Seviour Maggot-wounded cases. How r u helping animal is important no matters under which head you do. INFRASTRUCTURE in no matter anywhere. People who talk they get vanished, who works that survives. When Smt. Maneka Gandhi became Minster then many NGO's working in field of rural development, Women aid wanted to start animal welfare & obtain grants from her. But she is very strong & very dedicated, she knows whom to be given & not, so their attempts failed. Any how grants are fictious. So do lot for animals & you will automatically get help! Guest guest
Dear Nilesh, You negate all your sensible suggestions and your work by trying to pull others down. Why bring in Rita's name? At a time when the CPCSEA needed dedicated volunteers, she did a hell of a lot. Also, for a city-based ABC center, some infrastructure is needed. May not be a laptop, but buildings etc are needed. Keep up your good work and try and help others where you can. Regards. Guest guest
Dear Praveen, I hope you will agree with the views of Nilesh. we started PFA at Ludhiana in 1998 with seven persons and Rs.700/- in our hands.Today under the Guidance of Smt.Maneka Gandhi, and association of Public ,we have been able to make a shelter and hospital worth 70 lacs.we are running an ambulance and name of PFA is a terror for offenders of animal and wildlife laws.During my working as Member of AWBI I have come to a conclusion that if any organisation cannot mobilise its resources after three years of its existence, they should sit and rethink about their working. Have you been recognised by Animal Welfare Board of India. There is no need of Shelter for Recognition. You can get Rs.10000 as initial grant. You can mobilse some donors or your District administration to donate a piece of land, then AWBI can give you funds for Shelter and ambulance. If your activities are really a boon for deprived animals and society you can get Funds from MPLAD scheme from your MP for shelter and ambulance. Now fix your target. Best wishes, Sandeep Note: Forwarded message attached -- Original Message -- " Nilesh Bhanage " <call9820161114 " Hope and Animal " <mec111 Cc: aapn Re: Assistance required for shipping -
