Guest guest
I don't agree with Azam on this. Of course Bird Flu is very serious and of course it is very important but there are many forums and websites devoted to it. Any particular twist in the epidemic's evolution that is relevant to Asian animals should be reported here but I would not want to see this forum top-heavy with detailed reports. John, Moderator. Guest guest
If there are info from first hand/personal experience, they should be welcome; but the 'copy-paste' from media should be thoroughly screened and reasonably curtailed.Day by day it is becoming a group for reading-online news repotrs rather than any fruitful/effective debate or exchange of original ideas. Every body has access to on line news items why load the network by inputs from media( more often than not, highly polarised and biased).AAPN subsribers are not dumb or blind to issues, then why this decadence ?! Guest guest
Dear Debashish, Thanks for your valuable suggestions. I hope everyone keeps the following words in mind which you had punched before submitting their inputs into AAPN. You wrote: " the 'copy-paste' from media should be thoroughly screened and reasonably curtailed.Day by day it is becoming a group for reading- online news repotrs.... " Well, just for a healthy debate sake as you feel is necessary, I am copy/pasting a few news reports submitted by you in recent times. 1. Maneka forces bull fight out of autumn festival list. How a tiger got charmed by music Submitted on Sat Oct 29, 2005 3:41 pm Well, Some times copy/paste helps in sharing info with the network people who dont have enough time to browse through the local weblinks, and if this is a practice which should not be practiced at all then it should be made clear to all the members. I am sure once informed nobody including myself would engage in such a practice. But the H5N1 is something which is very serious and for your kind information India is amongst one of the 30 (thirty) countries which has not yet taken the advice of the WHO as to precautions and recomendations etc. Therefore if you get hold of any possible H5N1 sharing material, then please email me personally to azamsiddiqui Regards, Azam Siddiqui aapn , debasischak@v... wrote: > > If there are info from first hand/personal experience, they should be welcome; but the 'copy-paste' from media should be thoroughly screened and reasonably curtailed.Day by day it is becoming a group for reading-online news repotrs rather than any fruitful/effective debate or exchange of original ideas. Guest guest
I fully agree that aapn has too many media reports and not enough exchange of ideas.
