Guest guest
don't know what happened but our club messages got corrupted and we are now missing replies 79-81. Too bad because they were good ones. One of the members wrote a lttle poem about me and there was another member introduction from a nutritionist.

I wrote and they are trying to correct the problem. Hopefully they can correct it soon.

-OrionsDad
Guest guest
OrionsDad,

I hope this board still works. It is awfully quiet.

Just wanted to find out if you've kept with 100% rawfood or reverted back to 80% or so. If 100%, did you notice any difference between the two.

P.S. I've almost completed reading Nature's First Law: The Raw-Food Diet by Arlin, Dini and Wolfe. It is very enlightening on the subject of raw food versus cooked food and the effect you your health. Its also easy reading and entertaining as well
Guest guest
Mallon,

Board still running. I've just been very quiet.

I'm back to 80% raw diet. I lost about 35 pounds on 100% raw. I guess I didn't eat enough nuts and avocadoes. I got so skinny it was frightening!

So now I'm back to raw breakfast and lunch. Some cooked food with some raw for dinner. No animal products of any kind if I can help it. Keeping baked good to a minimum.

I read that it is important to have adequate complex carbohydrates like potatoes, rice, pasta to give your body fuel to burn as heat. 100% raw dieters often have lower body temperatures.

Yes, Nature's First Law is a very enjoyable book on the subject. It makes a lot of good sense.

-OrionsDad
Guest guest
Mallon,

Yes, I do think I felt better at 100% raw but I just could not stand to loose any more weight.

I'm trying to get regular exercise now-- power walking, biking, rebounder, weightlifting and stretching.

My weight is slowly coming back up. Should be more muscle this time. I'm being very focused on my health right now while it is summer. Really enjoying the seasonal fruit, especially the " exotic " mellons like " santa claus " and " canary " .

-OrionsDad
