Guest guest
The only fish I eat right now is yellowtail sashimi from sushi bars. Admittedly this is a special case, for they only use the finest cuts. When I try to buy raw fish from the supermarket, its often far less appetizing.

But I know that if I got hungry enough, more and more types of fish and other marine denizens would become good-tasting. The further away you go from mammals to eat, the less should be the risk of native microfauna being dangerous. Bugs and grubs, staples of many indigenous peoples, should be even safer. I missed my chance to try grasshoppers last year, but a three-day fast would fix that. I imagine I would grind some up into a paste, if I had found the taste good and wanted to make a meal of them. Since I have a great supply of sprouts, avocados, and pine nuts, I practice what you preach anyway.
Guest guest
Grinding bugs into a paste sure sounds pretty discusting if you ask me, but to each is own. I agree with you on sprouts, avocados and pine nuts. I especially love avos because it is a great butter or cheese substitute:)
I got a new job working at a waitress now so I will be able to afford making lots of fun recipies Take care and hope you dont eat too many bugs, ew

I'm getting ready to write a review of it for my blog, since I also finished it today. I think he did a brilliant job on the writing. Very factual and lots of questions to make one ponder. While he's pushing more for animal welfare, rather than animal rights, I think the logical conclusion one would come to after reading this book, is vegetarianism. Very good book! Guest guest
I will request this book at my library. I just ordered five books from Amazon, so I'm tapped out at the moment.
