Guest guest
Wouldn't 'healthy stomach flora' include stomach bacteria's resistance to ingested bacteria horning in on their action? I would think that a small taste-sample of food (say a single oyster, still alive, unchilled, and chewed slowly) would be unlikely to deliver enough of any species, even anthrax, to overwhelm the numerically superior native flora of your stomach, at least as long as it was empty of anything the new bacteria could hide in and prosper. I'd be willing to try it myself on something I'd seen alive and then washed, especially when I hear of episodes of shellfish food-poisoning. With FUDE-eaters stuffing their stomachs with dead junk, I can understand, but for a living-foodist, what kind of magic beasticles could be 'harmful' under such a cautious test regime? I'd just take that one bite and wait the rest of the day. Anybody ready to place bets on fresh shellfish? (Chemical contamination doesn't count.) Guest guest
like what?

example: tuberculosis in cow milk. TB is not something to take lightly and can infect the bone and cause structural damage. One can get this disease from milk from cows. etc.

I eat raw oysters and raw dairy but am not deluded that some raw foods are quite risky whether you are a raw foodist or not. Guest guest
Eating raw fish really turns me off(especially eating it alive). Yuck! And I do beleive that it is very risky to eat any raw meat or any cooked meat for that matter. But to tell you the truth if I was to live on an island and there was nothing but fish or meat I would prefer my meat cooked instead of raw. Cooking it does make it dead for your body but I rather eat it cooked because I would not want to be deadly ill from harmful bacteria which is more harmfull I believethen eating your food cooked. Cooking kills any harmfull backeria in raw meat. Besides eating animals alive seems to me like torture for the animals!!! If there were nothing but fish on the island I would kill the fish first very fast so it wouldnt have to suffer with tourture instead of eating it alive.
But I am so glad that there is not such an island where there is nothing but fish. I am so glad God has provided me with a diet so healthy for not only me but for planet earth. I prefer eating a juicy peach or pear instead of eating a bloody fish or animal. Eating a raw food diet for me is a peacefull and kind lifestyle in which there is no need to kill an animal to survive. Why kill a creature when there is no need to and you have hundreds of juicy fruits and veggies to indulge in?
All I need to say is read the book May All Be Fed and it will turn you away from eating any type of meat, and also you will see how eating meatless will contribute to a healthy body and earth:)
