What do you all think of using food dehydrators?

I see a lot of recipes at living-foods.com that

involve the dehydrator. It doesnt seem natural to take

all the water out of food, but maybe its worth it to

add some interesting foods to your diet. And of

course the temperature never goes above 105 degrees

(although I've read that enzymes are destroyed at 103

degrees).

Has anyone tried any of those recipes at

that site? I'd be interested to hear a

review.

Raven

I have one but rarely use it. Natures' First Law people say it distroys the

" Living Water " and some enzymes, But its good to have something crunchy once in

a while.

Doug

 • 5 years later...

I got one for free on freecycle. (in ...probably one in your area)

I posted a request, and got 3 offers. The one I got had never been used! They

bought it to make deer jerkey (ICK!) and never did. So I got a free dehydrator!

No such luck with a vita mix though. LOL

Lots of people that dont eat raw found out they dont like their

dehydrators and sell them for very little.

Brings words and photos together (easily) with
