Guest guest
I have the book Fit for Life. People always have excuses for not going all the way with anything. Sounds like sour grapes to me I also remember all my old drinking buddies who said, " not getting drunk once in a while, is not realistic " . They called me a fanatic, and the ones who are still alive, still do. I live on the edge of a rain forest. I think I'll walk over there this afternoon and grab an Apapani (small hawaiian bird) and tell him 100% raw is unrealistic.

How do we define extreme health. cooked foodists and the medical comunity define health as the absence of disease. Even in the movie " Unbreakable " , Bruse Willis is a guy who never gets sick or injured. In other words someone who goes through life without anything bad happening to him. I believe extreme health is much more than that, and I believe all of us, want more than that. I wouldn't be able to go through this, if all I would get was the absence of disease. I think we all want and expect something more. In the book " Blatant Raw Foodist Propaganda " by Joe Alexander, he talks about " Paradise Health " which he discribes as having the best day you ever had, every day. Also in " Natures First Law " , they also talk about it, I forget how they discribe it, but they talk about being " High " on health. I have not experanced it yet but I have caught glimpses it. It happens because our minds and our bodies are interconected, when our bodies reach optimum health, our minds are equaly affected. I also have read, and believe, that you can not reach that point without being 100% raw. We reach that point when we have been completely detoxed of cooked food, and that can't happen as long as we are adding cooked food to our system.

I'm having a lot of trouble with this site this morning. It might be because my cat walked across my keyboard while I was online. I will try posting and see what happens.

Doug
Guest guest
My girl friend just read my last post and said it sounded mean. I didn't intend it that way

Doug
Guest guest
Hi Doug...

The only thing I'm upset with you about is telling me about the movie!!! Luckily, you didnt ruin it, but I was told by a friend to not listen to anything about it!

My idea was that being 90-95% raw was so good that I would still be extremely healthy, so I could enjoy things like CHOCOLATE sometime again in my life. So telling me I'm weak and like an alcoholic and making excuses doesnt change my concepts at all - I'm completely aware of what I'm saying.

However, now you're saying that you reach a new level of unforseen absolute health on 100% raw. That's a whole new concept to me. If that last 5-10% makes an almost spiritual level of life happen, then I would reconsider. Especially since I can test it out for an extended period of time and see if it's true.

You say you've only caught a glimpse of it...how long have you been 100% raw and why do you think you've only gotten a glimpse? What other factors are involved? I assume 100% organic food would be necessary as well. Anything else?

By the way, I find that it can be difficult sometimes to 'argue' in these clubs without sometimes sounding a bit meaner than intended. I think our whole goal is to communicate with other people about what we're interested in and sometimes debate it. I dont take the messages personally, and I hope no one else does, in case I've been too mean!

RAven
Guest guest
I also haven't seen the movie, but I think I caught the jest from the comercials. I will be 100% raw for 1 year on Dec. 22.

The best glimpse I got was yesterday, I went down to the beach to go for a run. I felt so light and effortless. I felt as though, if I kicked just a little harder I would float up into the sky. The road goes through a cow pasture, and I saw 2 young calves looking at me, and I felt undiscribable peace and joy. Believe me, I know this sounds like a lot of spiritual crap.

Doug
Guest guest
I also haven't seen the movie, but I think I caught the jest from the comercials, of course I'm probably wrong. I will be 100% raw for 1 year on Dec. 22.

The best glimpse I got was yesterday, I went down to the beach to go for a run. I felt so light and effortless. Guest guest
The best description I have seen of what some call " Paradice health " the way I expereance it, is by Prof. Arnold Ehret who wrote in Mucusless Diet Healing System:
" If your blood 'stock' is formed from eating the foods I teach (fruits and green-leaf vegetables), your brain will function in a manner that will surprise you. Your former life will take on the appearance of a dream, and for the first time in your existence your consciousness awakens to a real-self-consciousness.
" Your mind, your thinking, your ideals, your aspirations and your philosophy changes fundamentally in such a way as to beggar description.
" Your soul will shout for joy and triumph over all misery of life, leaving it all behind you. For the first time you will feel a vibration of vitality through your body (like a slight electic current) that shakes you delightfully. "

There, I new there was a way to say it, without getting all mushie.

Doug
Guest guest
I find that interesting. I meditated 4 hours a day for 20 years seeking the experiences described here to no avail. After only 40 days on living foods, I am starting to glimpse the possibility of sprirituality.
Guest guest
Doug that's seems verily true. My life also gave me a small glimse of such. Perhaps it works, like, changing body inputs in terms of food, may likely perhaps produce output, in terms of your thinking, or outlook, behaviour, how now you feel and see above the world, full of pretence.
Perhaps another path also is, to provide space in your physical body, thus leading to providing something like more space in mind of being expendedness. I meant fasting for a day or 2. When I used to be in, that were the best experience even above eating raw food too.

with love,
Dinesh
