Greeatings.

I'm new to the raw food

community, and would like to jump right in by detoxifying my

body and mind. I've done online research and have

found information supporting, and warning against, both

water fasting and juice fasting.

For those of

you who've experienced either, I'd be grateful for

any information you would

share.

Thanks.

J.

For my money the best detox fast, is the Master

Cleanser. Walk or link your way to your favorite book store

and pick up a copy of The Master Cleanser by Stanley

Burroughs. Its a cheap little paperback, 50 pages, full of

info.

Good luck, Doug

Dear Jennifer,

Thanks for your good

question about fasting and sharing of raw

experiences.

I have found eating raw to bring large changes to

my life and it has taken me and is taking me, time,

lots to time, to assimilate those changes so I can

feel comfortable and understand what is going

on.

I think we are inclined to look for a quick fix to

solve our problems, while putting in the hard work to

change our habits, seems to offer the best

results.

While fasting does give a buzz, it is not something

that you can do day by day, week by week, month by

month.

Far better to pick a habit to develop, because it

will stay with you with the rest of your

life.

It takes about twenty-one days to develop a habit.

That means that you must be prepared for twenty-one

days of hard work, after that the habit takes

over.

My most useful habit is going to the fruit and

vegetable market every second day. If I go every day it is

a chore, but every second day it is a

change.

I think fasting plays into the hands of instant

gratification while a good habit is for life.

Welcome to

Raw, it's good to hear from you.

Victor.
