Guest guest
The following is embarassing to admit, but here it is.

My diet has not consisted of fruits, vegetables and water for years.

I've literally lived off of fast food, tons of cheese, sweets, excess carbohydrates, and sugary drinks.

As a result, as I'm sure you've guessed, my skin, weight, breath, mood, and everything else is starting to show the effects.

I need advice on how to start inner cleansing and improving/transforming my life.

I do not know where to begin. There is no excuse for my past habits, I do realize this, so please only offer advice if you can do so without criticism.

Also, how can I get rid of Candadias if I find that I have this problem?

Thank You Very Much
Guest guest
Why not do one thing?

Develop the habit of going to the fresh fruit and vegetable market every second day.

It takes about twenty-one days to develop a habit.

It is twenty-one days of hard work, then the habit works for you.

Victor. Guest guest
I think Victor is right to visit a vegetable market every few days. I always buy a little more than I expect to consume, then bring it to work so that when the mood to eat hits me I have good food choices. Some people, particularly if they're trying to lose weight, will reduce their food intake, then they get hungry and resort to eating processed junk food snacks. But here's the interesting trick: If you eat all raw, and I don't care how much you eat and whether its got fat (e.g. avocados) etc in it. If you eat all raw, you WILL lose weight. So you can dispense with the so-called " nutrition " or fat counting books. They're nonsense, misleading and a waste of time. Load up at the market and eat to your heart's content.

Regardiing candadias (or whatever it's called), I've read that thrives on sugar and that sugar in general feeds yeast infections. Cut out all things with added-sugar. I wouldn't worry about the " sugar " content of raw fruits though. Although some " scientists " will tell you fruit sugar is no different than processed sugar, it seems to behave different in the body. I think the human body recognizes real food from factory food and knows how to properly assimilate the real stuff. You might want to cut out yeast products too to be safe. Guest guest
You and I are coming from the same place. Even though I had no severe health problems, I knew I was going down hill. I got here the long way around, by first becoming vegetarian, then vegan. I became raw to repair the damage I did to my body by trying to live on coffee, donuts, cigarettes, and beer. I feel that raw foods have given me back my future. I wish I would have been like you, and went straight to raw. The healing would have started much sooner.

I believe the first step to inner cleansing is to cut out all starches in your diet, rice, potatoes, bread, anything with cooked starch. Next all sugar including honey. In the morning, eat all the fresh sweet fruit you want. In the afternoon, eat big fat mountains of salad, with lots of green leafy vegetables and no 'sweet' fruit. The healing starts with your first bite of raw.

I think we need as much power to conquer cooked food addiction as we can get. What gave me power, was knowlege, I received from reading everything I could find on raw foods. I came to believe that cooked food is evil. It gave me an enemy to fight.

I highly recomend two books Mucusless Diet Healing System by Arnold Ehret. and Blatant Raw Foodist Propaganda by Joe Alexander. There is also a lot of good information on this board (almost 600 messages will keep you busy). Welcome aboard. Your among friends here.

Doug
Guest guest
Doug you've been a big help, I just read your message a few seconds ago. Fortunately, I don't have any major health problems, but my skin, breath, mood, and weight are making me feel as if I do. I plan to get those books A.S.A.P.

I find my cravings are almost unbearable, it's as if I'm on drugs.....literally.....

If you know of anything that can help curb my cravings while I'm making a change please let me know. Or is it all in the two books you recommended. Thanks

Mission
