Guest guest
Dear almost...,
I'm bit confused by your last posting:.. " my feet
and ankles have swelled. They haven't became bigger or changed colors " .. " Well, now
I'm 120, because of the big feet. I haven't had a gall bladder flush, and I
didn't transistion from a cooked vegan diet to raw, just went all raw
overnight. "
Well, are your feet bigger or not? If yes, it might be water, I mean body fluid. That would mean your body is overdosed by sodium. Just check what you eat. Seems to me, your diet needs more fruit. Also, if you didn't undergo transition to raw with headaches, you actually didn't detox. Never mind, you can start now. Just eat more fruit, avos, garlic, nuts (exc. almonds-the only nuts that are alkaline), pepers, tomatos, cucambers, etc. (see CaPNaK chart)and get ready for BIG round a clock headache, yellow stinky urine, runs, etc. Yak!
Good luck, let me informed and feel free to ask, okay?
Tom
Guest guest
I went to the doctor again today to follow up on my lab and xray results. Everything is A ok. Except my albumin (protein) stores are low. My thyroid function, liver, kidney, adrenal function, cholesterol, blood pressure is normal. I have to see a dietician at the hospital, but I don't need someone who doesn't advocate or know about raw foods to lecture me on what they do believe in. There is a vegan nutritionist in my area, but she is always busy, on the road giving speeches about veganism, seeing clients, etc. I learned a reflexology technique for the hand that will alleviate pressure in my feet, ankles and legs. And I need to drink more water, keep my feet raised at night, wear support socks during the day. I can't eat a lot of fruit, bananas, oranges, pineapples, kiwis, non organic cantaloupe, apples, tangerines, pears, plums, melon, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, mangos, papayas are toxic and not consumable according to some raw experts. Guest guest
Almost Raw,

Your mentioned " ...I can't eat a lot of fruit, bananas, oranges, pineapples,
kiwis, non organic cantaloupe, apples, tangerines, pears, plums, melon,
grapes, strawberries, blueberries, mangos, papayas are toxic and not
consumable according to some raw experts. "

Is there a typo or syntax error in this statement, or do mean to suggest all these foods are considered toxic? I'm confused. If this is what you meant to say, then who are the " experts " that have stated this?

I did once see some blatant cooked food propaganda published by a " food industry " (evil bastards) group that pointed out some fruits contain trace amounts of arsenic and other substances generally considered toxic. But I have seen experts on the subject say these naturally occuring trace amounts are definitely harmless and probably beneficial, and it is a meaningless to compare the organic naturally-occurring substances with their inorganic counterparts. If one were to believe this crap, they would conclude its only safe to eat processed food, which we all know is the worst thing one could do. If there are raw food " experts " claiming all these fruits are toxic, I'd like to know who they are so I can at least read their arguments with an open mind before I write them off for lack of credibility. Or maybe I'll become enlightened, but I doubt it.
Guest guest
Narda Narvaez, a Doctor of Naturopathy, certified hypnotherapist, iridologist, yoga therapist holds degrees in physical therapy and physiology. Has had extensive training in lifefood nutrition. She said that she would rather eat organic frozen berries than non organic cantaloupe. But if you have no choice non organic cantaloupe is good because it has a rind which protects the fruit from pesticides. I prefer not to consume non organic apples, plums, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, any berries and pears for the chance of ingesting harmful toxins. Even though organic types of these fruits are a bit more expensive, the price generally comes out the same. I was eating non organic oranges and bananas, because they at least have peelings. But I stopped because they are hybrid, no seeds and don't grow naturally. Apples are the worst, they are waxed with a possible product of animal origin. Carrots are on the list of high in pesticides for non organic produce. Organic has many more mineral and nutrients. You can research organic fruits and vegetables on the internet. Guest guest
If you have swollen feet and ankles I would get rid of those “narrow tight” shoes.

Do you sit for too long of a time? You could have bad circulation in your legs because of prolonged sitting. Be sure to stand up, stretch or better yet go for a walk during the day.

Try those two simple actions first to reduce the swelling before you look for more serious problems. Swelling can result from too much sodium and other toxic substances in our bodies as Tom said but let’s take care of the physical hindrances first.

Let us know how you are doing?

-OrionsDad

Which raw experts said that???

Also, when you get test results back from your medical doctor you have to realize that you are being compared statistically to other " sick " people. People who are really healthy are not taking the medical tests.. only " sick " people. So when the doctor tells you everything is " normal " all that really tells you is that you are just as " sick " as everyone else :^ & gt;

So your " protein " stores are " low " . That might be a good thing as a result of your diet with no animal proteins. I'll have to research that one.

-OrionsDad
Guest guest
AlmostRaw,

OK - sounds like the intent of your message is that non-organic fruits are less desirable (not " not consumable according to experts " ) than their organic counterparts. Nobody on this board would disagree with that fact. But given the choice of living off processed foods vs. non-organic produce, I'd take the non-organic produce (and wash it) anyday.

I always buy organic when possible, in fact I'll generally pay upwards of double in price if necessary for organic, especially if the overall quality is also superior. My WholeFoods Market sells organic carrots at around $3.00 for 5 lb. Whenever I juice I make sure its organic.

I also am becoming increasingly disturbed by the genetic engineering that is (somewhat silently) going on. I'd alway prefer non GM food, but a lot of times you don't know for sure and at the rate they're mucking up the gene pool, I have a serious concern true-unGM food may be hard to find in the future.
