Guest guest
I just had my first colonic 2 days ago. I felt good afterwards and I left the office glowing. But for the last day and a half I've had really bad indigestion. Does this have anything to do with the colonic? What is everyone's opinion on colonics in general? Has anyone had similar experiences???

Micha
Guest guest
what is a colonic? Where, how, do I get one? About how much do they cost? Guest guest
Yes, Mike, that's basically it. Your large intestine is irrigated with water and cleansed. Where you would get one.. well you could look up colon therapists in your area, or check out other alternative health resources in your area. I paid $75 for mine - that's for a 45 minute session.

Micha

Guest guest
Micha,

I read a few books on the subject a couple years back and after reading accounts from doctors (and individuals) that had done many many colonics over a number of years became convinced that it could be an effective way at removing debris accumulations from the large intestine.

I also came to the conclusion that there was no harm in getting one-off colonics, but to really get come cleansing action going you needed to do multiple colonics over several days combined with fasting to really shake things up. I went on a 5 day quasi-fast - I consumed alternate combinations of wheat grass tablets and flax oil alternated with bentonite clay solution mixed in water with finely-ground psyllium husk. Each day take about 4 combinations of each and do a colonic morning and again at night. During the colonic, you rub your lower intestine (rub your stomach) to help loosen debris.

The husk solution sweeps through your digestive tract and helps loosen mucous strings and layers that build up in the colon over many years due to poor eating habits. After a couple days you get jelly-fish like lumps of mucous that comes out during the colonic. Presumably, if you repeat this cycle periodically (my source recommended 5, 7-day fasts over the first year, then a couple times yearly thereafter, you are likely to expel hard rubber-like debris that have been lodged in your colon for years. One doctor who has treated hundreds of patients with this process has photographs of some horrible looking stuff that has come out of patients.

The process may produce detox symptoms due to stirring up this toxic waste. That's why the colonics are important to move it out once you stir it up. If you're going to bother to do this, it is much more economical to buy a Colema board for about $150 and administer your own colonics. I believe the Colema board is a brand name of the company who patented it. You may can find them on the internet with a keyword search. They are very low-key re marketing, advertising, etc. but have been around many years. Also, after doing colonics, reintroduce food very gently and slowly at first to give your digestive system time to slowly kick in again.

If you need additional information, let me know. You may also want to buy a book from Bernard Jensen called Tissue Cleansing Through Bowel Management for more complete information.

Mallon
