Guest guest
Many fasting experts recommend against regular short fasts. Guest guest
I am 55 yrs. old right now and would not recommend fasting for anyone unless it is vegetable juices. Fasting on fruit juices has been recommended for people with chronic illnesses like cancer and other diseases, but vegetable juices may work just as well. Fruit cleanses and vegetables rebuild. I use to fast with fruit and fruit juices once a week when I was younger and I don't think it hurt me but i seems that now that I am older, my body can't tolerate it unless it is vegetable juices. I think that as we get older we can't deal with stress to our bodies as well as when we are older. I would not recommend fasting with water alone. I have studied fasting alot with the School of Natural Healing and in natural healing workshops and there are alot of controversy about fasting.
Marlene
Guest guest
It seems to me that eating raw fruit, vegetables and very small amounts of nuts and seeds has such a profound effect on our mind and body that fasting seems to be unnecessary.

Victor.
