Guest guest
I just made an awesome raw spaghetti sauce this evening. I couldn't believe how good it was. Now I'll never need to eat cooked spaghetti again. I was making this sauce before but I was missing one crucial ingredient, sun dried tomatoes. Those make the sauce nice and thick and tasty. I've included a recipe. http://www.living-foods.com/recipes/rawspaghetti.html

I just use 2 tomatoes that I blend first. Then I added minced garlic (3 cloves), about 15 - 20 leaves of basil plus a little jalapeno pepper. I soaked about 7 sundried tomatoes for a few minutes and added them after the spices to the blender.

I made angel hair pasta out of a fat zuchini with my saladaco. You can get it at this site http://www.cooking.com/products/shprodde.asp?SKU=170127 for $25 plus shipping.

Total preparation time is at most 15 minutes. I wish I had more tomatoes, because I'd be making another serving of it. So far this is my best raw food meal creation.

Another note; you can eat raw corn on the cob without cooking it. Get the sweet white corn. The better the quality the less starchy.

Raw can be gourmet, Roger Haeske

Guest guest
I got the sun dried tomatoes at a local farmers market. I just heard that I have to be careful of sulphur and salt being added to some of these. I got these out of a bulk bin. I hope there was no sulphur in there.

I'll try to find them in a health food store next time.

Roger
Guest guest
You can get dried tomatores almost anywhere. All supermarkets carry them. Organic is a different story. W/o sulphur (sulfites) is a different story.

I hope you are not going to use this forum as a place to make money by placing self-serving links.

Sue
Guest guest
I don't see any reason to question his motives. He had a good story to tell, and there is a fair amount of good, free information on his site. Several posters to this board in the past have done the same, and none of them have done in in a distasteful or spam-like manner.

I see no harm in posting links that are relevant to this club's subject matter. And, for that matter, I see nothing evil if a few people make money promoting a worthy cause. We all know many large corporations and the medical and pharmaceutical establishment make their money by heavily promoting unhealthy and disease-causing activities, then rake up the bucks promoting unhealthy " cures " to the mess they created in the first place. If a person's primary motive is profit, there are a lot more efficient ways than promoting raw food.

Mallon
Guest guest
Thanks for the info on the sun dried tomatoes Sue. I just bought some more. What I'll do now is soak them for at least 4 hours and then empty out the water and maybe even soak it again and see how the water tastes.

As far as the links, I'm sorry if I broke the rules of this club. I have been trying to post useful information. (To the club founder, please email me at roger if you need to explain this club's policies on posting.)

I have my own Club on (Superbeing Self Improvement Club) and I've had to tell my members to be careful with advertising. In my club I don't mind if people include links as long as they are providing useful information as well in their posts. Or they could just be links to awesome sights related to the subject matter of the club. In fact we have seen many awesome and useful links posted at our club.

We've only had one person who posted twice for an online audiotape store without any other useful commentary at all. I don't want a club that is just advertising. I don't plan to do that in this great club either.

I think it's great that there are so many people that have shown interest in raw foods in this club. In fact I wish I saw more people posting. By the way I have an awesome link to a sight that has testimonial articles of people who have cured various diseases like Cancer, Diabetes, Colitis etc. Go to http://www.livingnutrition.com/articles/

I know two of these people so I trust that these stories are true.

My most major victory in the raw food diet was curing a major depression that lasted me for 6.5 years. Then in one day of eating fruits I was fine. All sorts of other mental and spiritual techniques did not work for me. Life was very bleak before I found out about raw. Reading " Fit for Life, " is what got me into the raw diet. Though I had read a few other books related to the raw diet before. But I guess I needed more info and proof.

Thanks, Roger
Guest guest
Well said Mallon.

Yes it would be great if many people and companies got rich promoting a healthy lifestyle. We'd have a much healthier and happier world.

Thanks again, Roger

PS I just wrote my special report and all sorts of stuff on the raw diet within the last month. I have had at least 20 people ask for my free report in the last 2 1/2 weeks, that espouses the awesome benefits of the raw food diet. I am really amazed and grateful at how much what I have written has affected people.

After years of telling my grandparents of the raw food diet and them making no changes I finally made a breakthrough. When my grandfather read my testimonial letter to Dr. Graham he was really impressed with what happend to me.

You see he is really into fitness and when he saw how much my fitness improved he was amazed. So now he is gradually adding more fruits into his diet. I also got a famous marketing author to ask for my special report. This has mostly happened over the net and in a very short amount of time.

But I've also been able to spread the word to my tennis student clients. They want to lose weight and be younger as well. So as far as I can tell I have been helping lots of people and I haven't made any money on it as of yet.

Sometime in the future I will be releasing my own book on the raw food diet. I want to present this great idea to as many people as possible. I want to present this to the average person. Right now people don't want to try raw because of all they think they are giving up. I give them 32 reasons why they would love going raw. I present the benefits before I even tell them the technique. Hoping to get people excited enough to try eating in this way.

Roger
Guest guest
Roger; You made my day, I have been looking for a saladaco for 2 years (didn't know what it was called). Good deal.

Doug
Guest guest
It's also the cheapest price I've ever seen it at. Some places try to sell it for $40 plus shipping. I use it quite often nowadays. It makes an angel hair pasta consistency and it tastes like aldente pasta if you use zuchini.

I'll post the link again so others can easily get it. http://www.cooking.com/products/shprodde.asp?SKU=170127

Le\ t me know how your pasta dish comes out.

Roger
