Guest guest
I did an unsupervised water fast for 28 days a few months ago. . I read all about the suject in layman's literature and reasoned that if strange symptoms arose, I would either visit a doctor or stop the fast. Was I really risking so much? I live in Europe where a water fast is considered by the medical profession as quasi insane.
I found that in the first two days hunger pangs linger around strongly and one is harly out of first gear...

I plan to do another in a year or so. So what are these major caveats?

Best regards

PS I feel that waterfasting, detoxification and raw food eating are strongly linked. I hope I am not out of forum scope
Guest guest
Hi Peter,

My instinct is that you're right about fasting, detox and raw foods being linked, though I'm far from an expert. We are considering some combination of the three for our April program.

When preparing for a fast, do you gradually cut down on the amount of food you consume, or eat anything special in the days preceding it? I've never fasted (except for not eating by chance for 24 hours a time or two), so I don't want to shock my body with such an abrupt change.

If you feel like it, maybe you could lay out what you would recommend for a novice to do, both to prepare and how to proceed through the month of April. (This is an open invitation to anyone who thinks what I'm doing will be helpful, and has an opinion about how best to do it.)

thanks!
Carol
