Guest guest Posted February 1, 2002 Report Share Posted February 1, 2002 i'm back again. still the same weight i was when i last asked for your advice although you probably don't remember me:) 5'8, 150, female. i've started a juice fast to lose weight quickly, i'm looking to weigh 120 by march. then i ran across this club again and thought...hmm...a raw food diet is something i could keep up forever(unlike a juice fast) and people won't bug me about not eating. i know most of you do this for a healthy lifestyle and you may not apprieciate me thinking about it strictly to lose weight but body image is first and foremost in my life and will always be, if i happen to get healthier with this plan, it'll be a happy side effect. so, i'm here to pick your brains about the successfulness of acquiring a raw lifestyle as a means to take off and keep off weight. and FAST. i have not been able to nor will i ever be able to stick with something if the results are not immediate. so please, eating raw will cause me to drop how many pounds per week? estimate based on your experiences. what about exercise?<br><br>desperate to start a new way of life and get out of the depression over my body. if this doesn't work i'll just stop eating altogether. It wouldn't be very smart for you to stop eating altogether... you would end up killing yourself and you wouldn't have time to enjoy being thin! If you eat right the weight will come off naturally..... I got up to 170 lbs. while I was pregnant.... a week after my baby was born I was down to 140 lbs... a week later I was at 130lbs...... and now I am at 122 lbs..... Guest guest Posted February 5, 2002 Report Share Posted February 5, 2002 Have you considered the Atkins Diet. People lose weight fast on it but I would not recommend doing it for a very long time. Guest guest Posted February 5, 2002 Report Share Posted February 5, 2002 Just consider that when I went 100% raw, I dropped from 180 to 160 and leveled out there for a while and I will probably still lose a bit more to get down to my perfect weight. Rawfoods is a great way to lose weight and get healthier at the same time. I did not go on the diet for the weight loss factor but it is still there . Also, from what I understand the Atkins Diet puts your body into a state of keto-acidosis, and no matter what anyone says to back up the theory I personally can not see how this can be a healthy side effect.
