Guest guest
If anyone out there is as sensitive to nuts, grains, raw foods, beans and their relationship to flatuence...Tell me how you deal with the bloating and the discomfort.
I find myself popping gas-X pills left and right.
It's so horribly uncomfortable. How do you deal with it?
I exercise 40 minutes a day, everyday. That doesn't help either.
Guest guest
Are these (this?) sensitivities to each of these, all in combo or what? As far as bean, they, of course, are not raw----also most grains.
When do you have to 'pop' the gas-x pills? Eithere it is the wrong food or else the wrong combination. More details will help us help you.

Sue
Guest guest
If you are not soaking the nuts adequately, that would definately cause gas & bloating. Same with the beans. They should be sprouted. I don't eat beans (sprouted or not) because they make me feel sluggish. Plus, they don't taste very good to me, but that's just my opinion. Also, if you are combining these foods with fruit, that would definately cause discomfort. As Sue said, if you could tell us more about your food combining and preparation, it would help. Guest guest
Concerning grains, you might want to read " Grain Damage " by Dr. Douglas Graham.....
Guest guest
Mixing fruit and veg generally causes flatulence.
I eat fruit from very early morning untill 11.00 am then start the veg at lunch time. The heavy nuts etc I eat in the evening. If you try this for a day you will know if it works for you.

PG
Guest guest
I agree with everyone else. I've only been " raw " (meaning 40-50%) for about 3 weeks, but I can say that eating raw spinach, broccoli, mushrooms--foods that give me gas when cooked--gives me no trouble at all. Since cooked beans, broccoli & spinach make up a goodly portion of the cooked food that I still eat, I use Beano--it's an enzyme something-or-other that you put on your food and it helps you digest without gas. It works like a charm! But on the other hand, I buy bags of sprouted beans from the health food store and eat them without Beano with no problem, so if you're 100% raw, you should be able to eat sprouted beans and not get gas. Guest guest
I eat sprouts three times a week without problems - without Beano.

PG
