Guest guest
Elizabeth, Weight loss will come almost immediatley. You may in fact, lose weight a little faster than you planned. You will get to a healthy weight before you know it! I lost all my pregnancy weight in 2 weeks and actually ended up weighing 15 lbs. less than before I got pregnant! This is amazing. Guest guest
Hi Elizabeth, I've lost a lot of weight eating all raw food. I went from around 190 to 153 in about 6 months. I am now floating around 160. I believe I'll eventually " level out " at about 175. Guest guest
Raw foodism is a lifestyle for optimum health, not a diet. If you keep that in mind, it will be easier to stick with. Also, if you educate yourself on the substances found in the food that is passed off in grocery stores as edible, you will have an easier time (i.e., hydrogenated oils, colorants, preservatives...etc). Plus, be ready for detox and massive cravings for the foods you are used to eating. When addictive substances like sugar start to leave the system, you will experience withdrawal symptoms (cravings). My opinion is that the goal should be optimum health, not just weight loss. Anyone can lose weight, but how many can say they have optimum health? By keeping health as the main goal, an ideal weight will be attained in time. If woman's world is that checkout stand magazine, I recommend you read books on raw foodism by respected authors to see if this is a lifestyle you would honestly like to adopt. The checkout counter magazine is filled with gimmicks and such (the latest fad) on how to lose weight. Of course, you could use the raw food lifestyle short term in order to lose weight, but that's exactly what the weight loss will be....short term. Good books to read are: any by Dr. Douglas Graham (read Grain Damage for information on why humans should not eat grains), any by Dr. Gabriel Cousens, Nature's First Law by Wolfe, Dini, and Arlen. There are many others that I'm sure others on this list can suggest. rawfood, " elizabeth_cazares " <mossrose877> wrote: > i just read about the raw food diet on woman's world. after seeing > the pictures posted here, it seems like i'll be the only one in here > with weight loss in mind. i have tried many diets but have not been > able to stick to any for long. i hope that the energy i should be > receiving from this diet will keep me motivated. i really need help > with my wight loss so any advice would be greatly appreciated. > i'm around the 200 lbs. red zone and would like to get back to > atleast 125 lbs. all the help you have to offer would be taken in > with grattitude. > have any of you lost alot of weight on this diet already? > thanks, elizabeth
